Day 1: Nhatrang to Buon Me Thuot
Leaving the seaside city of Nha Trang and the tourist area behind, our first stop gives an insight into the life of a Vietnamese fisherman where most duties are still done by hand including hauling in the nets.
We start by riding along the stunning coastal road to Vinh Luong Fishing Port, where colorful boats and bustling fishermen offer fantastic photo opportunities.
Leaving the coast behind, we head inland onto winding country backroads, passing through:
• Remote villages with rustic daily life
• The breathtaking Phoenix Pass – dramatic mountain views and endless twists
• Orange Agent Area – a powerful place to learn about the Vietnam War’s impact
• K’Ho ethnic minority villages – get a glimpse into their authentic lifestyles
In the afternoon, we journey through lush green jungles and rubber plantations, stopping to observe how locals collect latex and craft traditional rice papers.
We check into a comfortable hotel in Buon Me Thuot around 5:00 PM. Overnight stay in Buon Me Thuot.
Day 2: Buon Me Thuot – Lak Lake
After breakfast, our journey continues deeper into the Central Highlands.
