Full Itinerary:
Your journey begins at 8:30 AM, when our friendly guide meets you at your hotel in Hue. Leaving the city behind, you head north toward Quang Tri province—once the frontline during the Vietnam War and home to some of the most powerful wartime landmarks in the country.
Your first stop is the Long Hung Church, a solemn reminder of the fierce 1972 Easter Offensive. Though battered and scarred, the church still stands as a symbol of resistance on what was once called “The Street Without Joy”—a name that reflects the deep suffering of civilians who fled along this route from Quang Tri to Hue.
Continuing westward along Highway 9, once a vital supply route from Vietnam to Laos, the journey leads you to the Highway 9 National Cemetery. Here lie over 10,000 North Vietnamese soldiers, most marked as “unknown.” This peaceful resting ground offers a moving moment of reflection and remembrance.
Next, you head north to the 17th Parallel, where the Hien Luong Bridge spans the Ben Hai River—the symbolic boundary that once divided North and South Vietnam. You’ll explore the National Unification Memorial, the flag tower, and the small museum that vividly tells the story of separation and the dream of reunification.
From there, the road winds northeast toward the coast, where you arrive at one of the tour’s most remarkable sites: the Vinh Moc Tunnels. This vast underground village was built to shelter families from relentless American bombing raids. You’ll walk through narrow tunnels that once housed kitchens, sleeping quarters, and even a maternity room—offering a sobering glimpse into the resilience of life underground during wartime.
After absorbing these powerful experiences, you return to Hue in the late afternoon, arriving around 4:30 PM. This journey is more than a tour—it’s a moving exploration of history, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of the Vietnamese people.
